Man and woman arrested over high-speed car chase at Lake Illawarra A man and a woman will face court after leading police on a high-speed car chase yesterday in the Lake Illawarra region. Just before 3pm, officers initiated the pursuit with a Subaru WRX station wagon – earlier reported stolen – after it failed to stop in Barrack Heights. The chase reached speeds of up to 140km per hour in a 50 zone, forcing police to halt the pursuit over safety concerns.
