The mobile van for the Lake Cumberland District Health Department (LCDHD) will be on hand at Godâs Food Pantry in Somerset tomorrow (Tuesday) from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. to offer COVID-19 vaccinations for those who have yet to receive a shot.
The Popup Clinic will also be at the Wayne County Memorial Park on Thursday, June 10 to give out vaccinations.
No appointment is required, and the vaccinations are a one-time shot (Johnson & Johnson) that does not require a second dose.
The number of new COVID-19 cases within both Pulaski and Wayne continues to stay low, according to the LCDHDâs website. For the week ending Saturday, May 29, Pulaski had a total of 29 cases and Wayne had a total of four.

Rocky Hollow Park has seen a number of improvements made recently â and they ll be on display this weekend at the City of Somerset s Saturday in the Park event from noon to 2 p.m. Christopher Harris I CJ Sunday in the Park With George was a beloved Steven Sondheim musical, but the City of Somerset can do him one better â by moving that date in the park up a day. Saturday in the Park is the latest outdoor event planned by the City of Somerset, as a chance to get outside, get some exercise and fresh air, and get acquainted with the new-look Rocky Hollow Park downtown.

As of Saturdayâs data, the Lake Cumberland District Health Department reported that Pulaski is hovering right around the Orange (Accelerated Spread) level with a rate of 10.11. Wayne Countyâs rate is 4.22.
Itâs been a steady few weeks for both Pulaski and Wayne counties in terms of COVID-19 numbers, with the data showing a âplateauâ for new cases â barely deviating from what has been seen over the past seven weeks or so.
