LAKE GEORGE The Lake George Association received a $25,000 grant to use toward a device that will help reduce the flow of sediment into Lake George.
The delta that has formed around the mouth of English Brook in the south basin is the biggest in the lake. It is a nutrient-rich mass that spawns invasive species, hampers boat navigation and harms fisheries. The LGA has been working on the delta problem since 2003 when the group published a survey on all the deltas around the 33-mile-long lake.
