Duluth Trading names former Finish Line exec as new CEO Duluth Holdings Inc. has named Sam Sato as its next president and chief executive officer, the retailer announced in a news release Tuesday.  The Mount Horeb-based company, which goes by Duluth Trading, said Sato will take over as CEO starting May 3. Sato will become a member of the board of directors on May 27.  Duluth Trading, which is known for its sassy marketing of men s and women s casual wear, workwear and accessories, was founded in 1989. Sato will take the helm from Duluth Trading founder Steve Schlecht who has been in the role on an interim basis since 2019. Schlecht will become non-executive chairman of the board.
