Wanda May Mansfield, 34, has been charged with injury to a child and possession of a controlled substance, both felonies. Deputies from the Bannock County Sheriff’s Office received calls from Child Protective Services on April 2, according to an affidavit of probable cause. CPS told the deputies that Mansfield, who also goes by the name Wanda Kimball, was working as a live-in nanny and had allegedly been involved in troubling activities involving a 13-year-old girl in her care.

Local man arrested after DNA matches rape kit from 14-year-old

IDAHO FALLS — A local man was arrested after his DNA was found to match samples collected as part of a rape kit from an incident in April. According to the probable cause affidavit, Clay Heline, 27, of Idaho Falls, was driving the 14-year-old victim after her mother was hospitalized. Court records state Heline appeared to get his car stuck in snow. The victim told her mother she fell asleep and that she woke up with her clothes removed. × Story continues below video The victim did not want to be forensically interviewed as part of the investigation, according to court records. She told her mother she had been raped, and her mother contacted law enforcement.
