According to Tuesday’s release, Mr Komnacky will, as vice president of global operations, be responsible for improving Novomatic group’s coverage of national markets by streamlining the relationship between local representatives and head office, and by “promoting a structured exchange of information in order to take advantage of potential synergies”.

Austria-based gaming equipment maker and operator Novomatic AG Group said group-wide earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) stood at EUR305.9 million (US$365.9 million) in 2020, down 55.4 percent from the previous year. The company stated that its performance last year was affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, according to its annual report.
The group reported revenue of EUR1.74 billion for full-2020, a decline of 33.1 percent from a year earlier. The said that the pandemic and associated measures to contain the further spread of the virus represented a “major and unprecedented challenge”.
Novomatic reported a loss attributable to shareholders of EUR227.8 million for full-year 2020. That compares with a profit of EUR88.8 million in 2019.
Australia-based slot machine maker Ainsworth Game Technology Ltd says it has a new five-year secured-credit facility worth US$35.0 million, with United States-based lender Western Alliance Bancorp.
“Proceeds of US$28 million from this new facility have been used to extinguish all company obligations under the prior revolving credit facility with Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Ltd (ANZ),” said Ainsworth Game in a Friday filing to the Australian Securities Exchange.
The party to the new credit agreement is Ainsworth Game Technology Inc, a U.S.-based operating subsidiary of the group. Its parent entities within the group, AGT Pty Ltd and Ainsworth Game Technology Ltd, are guarantors of the loan.
