An Iberia Parish man is wanted after police say he allegedly broke into his girlfriend s home, assaulted her and fired several shots at her.
Deputies say the incident happened on Tuesday, February 23 at 6:30 pm in the 1800 block of Wanda Street in the parish.
The Sheriff s Office says that Dwight Williams allegedly forced his way into his girlfriend s home and physically assaulted her by choking.
The victim was able to escape the residence but was followed by Williams who, deputies say, fired several shots at her.
IPSO makes arrest in Catalytic Converter thefts in Iberia Parish

NEW IBERIA, La. â The Iberia Parish Sheriff s Office have made two arrests in connection with a string of Catalytic Converter thefts that have occurred in Iberia Parish.
According to a release, IPSO says that on March 3 at approximately 6:30 a.m., detectives along with the SWAT Team executed a search warrant at a residence located in the 2300 block of Rose Lane in Iberia Parish in reference to the Catalytic Converter thefts.
IPSO located the suspect Trevor James Gaspard, 24, in the residence alone with the homeowner Jonathan Harry Standridge, 37, who had open arrest warrants.

More than 300 items have been recovered and a suspect under arrested in connection with thefts from a local storage facility.
Carencro Police say that in January of 2021, officers began investigating multiple burglaries that occurred at the Red Dot Storage on Smalley Road in Carencro.
During the investigation, they were able to obtain the identity of the suspect, 44-year-old David Corey Bell.
As the investigation progressed, Carencro Police say they worked with several agencies, obtained search warrants throughout several parishes, and recovered more than 300 items believed to be stolen and valued at nearly $100,000.
Officials with the Iberia Parish Sheriff s Office say that there phone lines are down.
