The Changing Lives Initiative has been working in Argyll and Bute, as well as parts of Ireland, following a major funding award from the European Union. Over the last two years, 174 families and more than 500 professionals in the west of Scotland have benefitted from the project.

By Press Association 2021 Northern Ireland Chief Medical Officer Michael McBride receives his first dose of the Oxford/AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine Northern Ireland’s Health Minister has made clear people cannot pick and choose what type of Covid-19 vaccine they receive as he moved to provide reassurance on the safety of the AstraZeneca jab. Robin Swann highlighted that the UK’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) had found no evidence of a link between the vaccine and reported cases of blood clots in some European countries. Mr Swann was answering an urgent oral question in the Assembly tabled in response to moves in several EU nations, including the Irish Republic, to temporarily pause the rollout of the AstraZeneca vaccines.
