Sir Richard Lexington Sutton, one of the richest men in Great Britain, was found stabbed to death on Wednesday night, according to the local newspaper Dorset Echo.
The Dorset Police Department launched a murder investigation on Wednesday after finding the 83-year-old Baronet at his country estate, according to multiple reports from the media, including BBC News. Police were called to the scene by a concerned member of the public, according to the local newspaper.

This is the dramatic moment armed police swooped on a Range Rover driver and arrested him on suspicion of murdering one of Britain s richest men who was stabbed to death in his country mansion - as his wife continues to fight for her life.
Three hours after hotelier Sir Richard Sutton, 83, was killed inside his £2million home in north Dorset on Wednesday night, police performed a hard stop on the 34-year-old man 100 miles away in Chiswick, West London after tracking him across five counties.
Pictures from the scene show the 4x4 had been boxed in by at least four police cars, before the driver - who was known to Sir Richard - was carried away in a stretcher after he was found to have received a number of serious self-inflicted injuries .

A man arrested on suspicion of murder after one of the UK s richest men was found stabbed to death remains in hospital with injuries, police said.
A woman, in her 60s and believed to be his wife, was also stabbed and remains in a critical condition.
Dorset Police said a 34-year-old man who was arrested following the stabbing was continuing to receive hospital treatment for injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
The suspect, from Gillingham, and the victims were known to each other. He was arrested after being stopped in a vehicle in Hammersmith, London, and was taken to hospital.

Who was Sir Richard Sutton?
Sir Richard Lexington Sutton, 9th Baronet, was head of the Sutton family, owning around 7,000 acres of land in Dorset, Berkshire, London, Lincolnshire and Aberdeenshire.
As well as owning huge swathes of land, he also owned a hotel empire.
Sir Richard married his first wife Fiamma Sutton in 1959 before they divorced. They had two children, David, 61, and Caroline, 55, and five grandchildren.
