Iowa Residents Could Get Cocktails Delivered to Doors Get our free mobile app According to KCCI, there are two bills making their way to Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds desk right now that could make it possible for Iowans to get alcoholic beverages delivered straight to their homes. Due to the pandemic, to-go cocktails became popular, as many Iowans wanted to enjoy their favorite drinks, but do so in the comfort of their own homes. The popular new trend did have some flaws though, and now these bills are working to perfect them. One of the bills calls for improved sealing of the containers, according to the KCCI report. So, instead of having to make individual drinks, a cocktail can be made by the gallon in advance. Also, according to KCRG, the other bill would allow businesses with liquor licenses and permits to have third-party services deliver alcoholic beverages, including to-go mixed drinks to patrons. A clinic is being set up for local Hispanic and Latino populations on Sunday, April 18. at AEA. SALUD multicultural health coalition is helping Public Health to reach those residents. SALUD board member Emilia Marroquin was invited to speak during Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds’ live streamed press conference Wednesday on reaching the state’s multicultural population with COVID-19 information. Gov. Reynolds noted that the Hispanic/Latino population, estimated at 200,000, is Iowa’s largest ethnic group. Confusion, lack of access to health care or language barriers may be holding the group back from obtaining vaccine, she said, noting that 60 percent of that population are saying that they do not have enough information on where and how to get vaccine.
