UPDATE 5 p.m. – Six-year-old Mackenzie Godden was found safe Saturday afternoon. According to the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, she was found around 4 p.m.
Godden was reported missing from Denison Friday evening.
DCI agents are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding her disappearance. They did not release any details about where or how the six-year-old was found.
Law enforcement thanked members of the communities and volunteers who helped in the search.
