Authorities are asking for the public s help finding a southwest Iowa man missing since Sunday.
The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation is assisting the Creston Police Department and the Union County Sheriff’s Office in the search for Tim Fechter, 58, of Creston who was last seen early Sunday morning at a home at 600 Birch St., in Sidney, according to a news release.
Fechter is described as a white male, roughly 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighing 185 pounds, with blue eyes and tattoos on each hand and arm. The circumstances surrounding the disappearance of Mr. Fechter, along with his known medical conditions, have law enforcement actively attempting to locate him, the Iowa DCI release said. While the circumstances surrounding his disappearance have drawn the attention of law enforcement, there is no known or ongoing threat to the public.
