Credit: Dublin Port Co-facebook This afternoon the Irish Exporters Association (IEA) has largely welcomed the announcement by the UK Government to delay the post-Brexit checks on EU goods coming into Great Britain by six months. The delay, which was announced by Michael Gove MP, gives Irish and UK businesses more time to prepare. Every year 150,000 trucks use the UK landbridge to transport three million tonnes of freight between the Republic and the European mainland.
