European Foundry Industry Sentiment, June 2021: Emerging from the crisis with a calm hand
In June the European Foundry Sentiment Indicator (FISI) continues its recovery for the seventh consecutive month.
The increase of 1.3 points brings the index to a value of 109.6. The driving force behind this positive development is the good assessment of the current business situation. Expectations for the coming six months, meanwhile, did not increase significantly, but remain at a high level. After the first half of the year, the most important customer industries of the European foundries show different developments, which will also affect the tendency for the rest of the year.

European Foundry Industry Sentiment, November 2020: No further collapse despite exploding Covid-19 case numbers so far
In November, the European Foundry Sentiment Indicator (FISI) remains at the previous month s level. The minimal decline of 0.1 index points to the level of 99.6 is equally based on the almost unchanged assessment of the current situation and expectations for the next six months.
That the positive turnaround of the previous month did not consolidate into a trend is not surprising. Although the positive effects due to the successes in vaccine development are reflected in the November data for the first time, these data must be seen in the context of the rapidly increasing number of Covid-19 cases in recent weeks, which were not foreseeable to this extent at the beginning of October.
