Met dank overgenomen van Europese Commissie (EC), gepubliceerd op maandag 3 mei 2021. De Commissie heeft vandaag een openbare raadpleging over de Europese ruimte voor gezondheidsgegevens een belangrijk onderdeel van de Europese gezondheidsunie gepubliceerd. De Europese ruimte voor gezondheidsgegevens heeft tot doel de digitale mogelijkheden optimaal te benutten om hoogwaardige gezondheidszorg te verstrekken en ongelijkheden te verminderen. Zij zal de toegang tot gezondheidsgegevens voor preventie, diagnose en behandeling, onderzoek en innovatie, en beleidsvorming en wetgeving bevorderen. Het recht van personen om hun eigen gezondheidsgegevens te beheren zal centraal staan in de Europese ruimte voor gezondheidsgegevens. Deelname aan de raadpleging is mogelijk tot en met 26 juli 2021.
