Italy to evaluate unclear WhatsApp data sharing policy Friday 15 January 2021 | 10:41 CET | News Italy s data protection authority, Garante Privacy, said it has contacted the European Data Protection Board (EDPB) to express its concerns regarding the unclear nature of the forthcoming changes to Whatsapp s terms and conditions. The Facebook-owned messaging app recently asked iOS and Android users to accept new T&Cs if they want to continue using the app and the Italian authority said it is not possible for users to understand what changes have been introduced, nor to clearly understand which data processing will actually be carried out by the messaging service after 08 February .
The key data regulators that oversee the European Union’s strict privacy regulation agreed to a beefed up set of contractual terms to provide more clarity about the level of protection data transfers to countries outside the EU can enjoy.

The other interesting thing about that conversation, they could not understand how a sole proprietor would see no benefit from collaboration tools and kept making up bizarre scenarios where I could use them.
I actually asked them if they were a product manager or a salesperson at one point.
