Shane was shot with a crossbow by neighbour Anthony Lawrence
A date has been set for the inquest into the tragic death of Shane Gilmer.
Shane was shot with a crossbow by neighbour Anthony Lawrence at his home in the sleepy village of Southburn, near Driffield, on January 12, 2018.
Lawrence, 55, had broken into the home Mr Gilmer shared with his pregnant partner Laura Sugden.
He got inside through their adjoining loft by removing bricks and lay in wait before attacking them when they returned home from a date.
The attack killed Mr Gilmer, a housing officer for East Riding Council, and left Miss Sugden injured and traumatised.
