Trade union challenges to the changing profile of work in Europe
02 Jun 2021
The annual conference of the Left group in the European Parliament, organised in cooperation with the Trade Unionist Network Europe (TUNE), will focus on the consequences of atypical or non-standard work in employment relationships and their impact in displacing the full-time, regular, open-ended employment model in some economic activities.
Despite the European Pillar of Social Rights stating that “Employment relationships that lead to precarious working conditions shall be prevented, including by prohibiting abuse of atypical contracts”, reality has been different. This online conference aims to exchange experiences and development ideas to tackle this major challenge for workers in Europe.
