On June 15, California plans to reopen after 15 months of pandemic restrictions. But a month before that date, it’s still not quite clear what exactly “reopen” means.
State officials say it will be a return to business as usual for scores of sectors including restaurants, gyms and movie theaters that have been forced to limit capacity under California’s color-coded blueprint. Bars will be able to reopen indoors in every county. Private gatherings like weddings can resume with larger guest lists.

SAN DIEGO New federal government guidance means vaccinated nursing home residents can now have indoor visitors, including family members.
The latter made for quite the scene Friday at St. Paul s Villa on Fourth Avenue.
Michael McCarthy walked in to surprise his mother, Eileen McCarthy, 99, of San Diego, who had no idea her son would be visiting.

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) There have been many tragic events over the last year, but there was a celebration at St. Paul Senior Services Friday.
For the first time in a year, family members were allowed to reunite, to hug, to hold, and just be together again. It s a very special that we re here, I miss coming and watching you dance, and taking you for walks, said Mike McCarthy.
It s been over a year since Mike and his mom Eileen have been able so share those moments together. Especially Sundays. They really miss Sundays.
