An earthquake of magnitude 4.8 occurred only 15 minutes ago 55 km west of Masinloc, Philippines, the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) reported.
The quake hit at an intermediate depth of 109 km beneath the epicenter near Masinloc, Zambales, Central Luzon, Philippines, in the evening on Thursday 11 March 2021 at 9:27 pm local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
Our monitoring service identified a second report from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) which listed the quake at magnitude 4.7.
