Love Oakdale Event Returning For 2021 Coming at a time when it is sorely needed, Love Oakdale is on the calendar for Saturday, April 24. Organizer Lisa Kjeldgaard said she couldn’t be happier that the community will benefit from this upcoming work day. “We want to get things going,” she said. “We will meet at 8 a.m. at the skate park/theater where we will have our rally, just like we have done before.” Volunteers are still being sought for a variety of projects that will be taken on during the day. Those interested can go to the website, loveoakdale.com, for additional information and to sign up as a volunteer. Sponsors are also being sought.

Photo Contributed Recently, Oakdale Sunrise Rotary, affectionately known as the “Small but Mighty” Club, answered the call for donations from Oakdale Rescue Mission, ORM. They were requesting any type of winter clothing to provide to the local homeless, so that they could stay warm in the winter. Requested items ranged from flannels to jackets, thermal underwear and gloves, and anything else that might help.
