One dead after crash at Oxnard intersection Thursday night
A Ventura woman died after a two-car crash in Oxnard Thursday night, officials said.
The accident took place around 9:45 p.m. at the intersection of Gonzales Road and Victoria Avenue, the Oxnard Police Department reported. A 2008 Nissan Altima sedan and a 2019 Dodge Durango SUV collided in the intersection for unknown reasons, authorities said.
A woman driving the Altima was taken by ambulance to Ventura County Medical Center where she died from her injuries.
She was identified Friday afternoon as Adrianne Wilson, 37, of Ventura, according to the Ventura County Medical Examiner s Office.

OXNARD, Calif. - A woman was killed and another was hospitalized following a two-vehicle crash in Oxnard Thursday night.
At around 9:45 p.m., Oxnard police and paramedics responded to the intersection of Gonzales Road and Victoria Avenue for a report of a crash involving two vehicles.
Police found a Dodge Durango and a Nissan Altima that collided in the intersection for reasons that are unclear.
The woman driving the Altima suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Despite advanced medical treatment, she died from her injuries.
The driver of the Durango, identified as a 31-year-old Oxnard woman, was taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Gunfire in Oxnard seriously injures one Thursday night
A shooting in south Oxnard Thursday night left a man in critical condition, authorities said.
At about 8:35 p.m., a passerby reported a victim who didn t look well lying on the sidewalk in the 200 block of James Avenue, according to Cmdr. Luis McArthur of the Oxnard Police Department. The block is in a residential part of the Blackstock North neighborhood, generally east of Saviers Road and south of Channel Islands Boulevard.
Officers found the man unconscious with an apparent gunshot wound, McArthur said. He was taken by ambulance to Los Robles Regional Medical Center in critical condition. The hospital in Thousand Oaks has a regional trauma center.
