The “vast majority” of staff from the Laconia and Franklin hospitals will be staying on after Concord Hospital takes over.
Concord Hospital said this week that 100 physicians and advanced providers have joined the two hospitals that are part of LRGHealthcare, which will be renamed Concord Hospital-Laconia and Concord Hospital-Franklin if the proposed acquisition goes through.
“Additionally, 1,070 employment offers have been extended to LRGHealthcare employees to work for Concord Hospital-Laconia and Concord Hospital-Franklin. This constitutes the vast majority of LRGHealthcare’s staff,” Concord Hospital’s statement said.

The two financially troubled hospitals in the Lakes Region would be renamed Concord Hospital-Laconia and Concord Hospital-Franklin if their sale goes through – and if it doesn’t, they’ll probably shut down before the summer.
Concord Hospital will operate the Franklin and Laconia hospitals for at least five years if they are allowed to buy them out of bankruptcy and “may maintain current levels of service, but with no guarantees,” said Katherine London of Commonwealth Medicine who analyzed the proposed sale for the State of New Hampshire.
