US TV networks Fox News and Newsmax have aired segments highlighting the lack of evidence linking electronic voting machines to fraud in the US election.
The networks had received legal threats from Smartmatic, a voting technology company targeted by fraud allegations.
President Donald Trump s team have used unfounded claims about voting machines in a bid to overturn his defeat.
Members of his team appeared repeatedly on the channels to push the theory.
Fox News ran a two-minute fact-check in the form of questions and answers on three different programmes on Saturday which denied allegations of manipulation or fraud by the two companies.

Newsmax, Fox News Walk Back Voting Machine Conspiracies After Legal Threats
Two television networks that have aired segments accusing rival voting machine vendors of enabling voter fraud in the presidential election are now walking back those claims after the threat of litigation.
Fox ran a two-minute pre-taped segment on a Fox Business Network show hosted by Lou Dobbs and Fox News programs with Maria Bartiromo and Jeanine Pirro. Newsmax anchors read from a prepared statement Monday, after both networks aired claims from the Trump campaign that voting machine vendors Smartmatic and Dominion were involved in a conspiracy to change votes for President-elect Joe Biden.
The Virtual Inauguration
Because of the pandemic racing through the nation and the world there has been a call for Biden to take the oath of office for the presidency virtually.
That might be a good idea these days….but this is not for Biden and has little to do with the pandemic but rather a bunch of Trump supporters that still think they can keep this useless lump as president on 20Jan2021.

More than 60,000 people have indicated on the Facebook event page that they’re going, the Hill reports.
