Cleveland has a lot of empty commercial real estate and a glaring need for affordable housing, especially downtown. So a new development there aims to address both things. Itâll turn most of a sprawling old bank building into 868 units of âworkforce housing.â

Downtown Boston hasnât had this much empty office space in years, even as construction hums along on some of the biggest towers the city has seen in decades.
Thatâs raising questions about who will lease all these high-rises when theyâre finished.
“Since the pandemic began, those trends have increased at an even higher rate,” Crane said.
2 local closures
The Springvale branch has been a familiar site at 471 Main St. in the village square for decades. The Ogunquit branch is located at 251 Main Street. The closing and consolidation of both sites will be completed by May 21, Crane said.
Customers will be able to bank at any branch they wish, following the consolidation, Crane said. Other banking options will continue to be available: ATMs; the bank’s general number at 1-800-KEY2YOU; online at key.com; and the bank’s mobile app.
