LOS ANGELES - Amid the roll-out of coronavirus vaccines, various retailers have answered the call to help immunize eligible the public, including Walmart, Costco and Publix.
President Joe Biden has pledged to deliver more than 100 million injections in his first 100 days in office and suggested it s possible the U.S. could reach 1.5 million shots a day. To help with that lofty goal, certain grocery stores and retail stores are offering their services to help administer vaccines in select states.

SUNBURY (January 20, 2021) – Weis Markets today announced it will begin administering COVID-19 vaccinations in 55 of its in-store pharmacies throughout Pennsylvania beginning Thursday, January 21. Per Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Pennsylvania Health Department guidance, Weis pharmacy staffs will prioritize individuals 65 and older for COVID-19 immunizations.
Weis pharmacies will also prioritize COVID-19 immunizations for people aged 16-64 with high-risk conditions including cancer, chronic kidney disease, smoking, COPD, heart conditions, Down Syndrome, obesity and diabetes.
To receive the vaccine, customers must schedule an appointment with a Weis certified immunizer at: https://www.weismarkets.com/pharmacy-services. Appointment sign-ups are available one day prior to the immunization, and a face covering is required. Weis Markets announced it will begin administering COVID-19 vaccinations in 55 of its in-store pharmacies beginning Thursday.
Pharmacy staffs will follow CDC and Pennsylvania Department of Health guidelines by prioritizing individuals age 65 and older, the company said.
