The Australian Dental Council (ADC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA), the National Accreditation Agency affiliated with the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Education.
Under the MoU the CAA has awarded the ADC international accreditation authority status in registered higher education institutions in the United Arab Emirates. As part of this agreement, dental practitioner programs based in the United Arab Emirates can apply to be accredited by the ADC and the CAA simultaneously.
The MoU also allows for greater information sharing and collaboration between the two organisations on projects and activities regarding international program accreditation, including accreditation teams and processes explains ADC Chief Executive Officer, Narelle Mills.
