MET Eireann have issued a status yellow snow and ice alert for six counties.
Today s snow warning for Donegal, Leitrim, Sligo, Cork, Tipperary and Waterford will remain in place until 12pm this afternoon.

The alert reads: Further falls of snow in places this morning leading to accumulations in some areas.
While the UK Met Office has issued a similar warning for five counties in Northern Ireland.
This alert kicked in yesterday at 3pm and is valid until 11:59pm today.
It applies to Antrim, Armagh, Fermanagh, Tyrone and Derry.

Met Ãireann has issued a follow up weather warning for six counties as snow and ice hits Ireland.
Donegal, Leitrim, Sligo, Cork, Tipperary and Waterford are all affected by the new status yellow warning, in place from 6am today until midday.
The forecaster warned of further falls of snow in some places this morning, potentially leading to accumulations in some areas of the country.
This comes after a snow and ice warning was issued for 13 counties yesterday, as certain parts of the country geared up for a steady amount of snowfall.Â

The UK Met Office also issued a similar warning for counties in the North. Antrim, Armagh, Fermanagh, Tyrone and Derry will all included in the warning.

An updated warning, issued at 11.45am on Wednesday, came into effect at 6am on Wednesday morning but will now remain in place until 7am on Thursday morning.
Further falls of snow are expected in all three counties during that time, leading to accumulations in some areas.

MET Eireann have issued a status yellow snow and ice warning for 13 counties which will come into effect at midnight.
Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Wexford, Wicklow, Offaly, Donegal, Leitrim, Sligo, Cork, Tipperary and Waterford have been placed on alert.

The weather warning is valid from midnight tonight until 12pm tomorrow and reads: Risk of snow accumulations to lower levels.
Meanwhile, the UK Met Office has issued a similar warning for five counties in the North which will kick into effect earlier.
Valid from 3.00pm today until 11:59pm tomorrow, it applies to Antrim, Armagh, Fermanagh, Tyrone and Derry.
Snow and ice warning issued for 13 counties
Status Yellow snow and ice warning for 13 counties in the south, midlands, southeast and northwest.
The warning was issued at 11:00am this morning (Tuesday, December 29) and will come into effect at midnight tonight.
The warning will be in place for 12 hours, expiring at 12:00pm (noon) tomorrow (Wednesday, December 30).
The affected counties are Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Wexford, Wicklow, Offaly, Donegal, Leitrim, Sligo, Cork, Tipperary and Waterford.
Met Éireann is warning that there is a risk of snow accumulations to lower levels over the course of the warning.
The UK Met Office has also issued a
