Argus launches first Asian renewable diesel and SAF prices

SINGAPORE, Dec. 7, 2020 /PRNewswire/ Global energy and commodity price reporting agency Argus has launched the first renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) prices for Asia. These prices are designed to meet the growing need for greater transparency in renewable fuel markets as countries in the region seek to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions.
China, Japan and South Korea have set ambitious decarbonisation targets in the past two months. And a number of private-sector companies have announced that they will achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050.

A charity grouping of Malawians based in United Kingdom (UK), Malawi Health Care Support (Mahecas) has donated 1 025 new hospital beds and 781 new hospital mattresses valued at around K700 million to the College of Medicine (COM) in Blantyre, a constituent college of the University of Malawi.

Mahecas coordinator Lawrence Gogodus said the donation was a response to a request by the medical college and that the beds, will be distributed to various public hospitals which are faced with acute shortage of beds and where patients sleeping on the floor.

Wizz Air to launch new route to Crete in 2021

The UK-registered subsidiary of Europe’s fastest growing and greenest airline group, Wizz Air UK, recently announced the addition of six new low-fare holiday routes to its network.
The new routes which will launch in Spring 2021, provide connections between the airline’s Doncaster Sheffield, Gatwick and London Luton bases and sunshine destinations in Turkey, Bulgaria, Spain and Greece.
The first flight to Herkalion, Crete is scheduled for May 28 with prices starting at £31.99. Flights will operate every Monday and Friday,
