A COLOURFUL new mural has been commissioned to be painted after the success of a similar event last year. The mural is part of work to rejuvenate an electricity sub-station on the northwest corner of Wish Park, Hove. Last year Hove resident David Wicken, 65, and the Red Herring artist group decorated the east-facing wall with the first Wish Park mural which depicts the history of the park. That design included the rumoured Victorian circus elephant buried somewhere on the grassy lawns. The plans are for the new mural to be painted on the south-facing wall to commemorate the park s regular visitors. The design will show the people and even some dogs relaxing on a bench on a sunny day.
