MIL-OSI Security: Organiser of Covid-breach event tracked down and fined

Source: United Kingdom London Metropolitan Police The mystery organiser of an illegal music event held during lockdown, who ran away when officers went to shut down the event, has been identified and is now facing a £10,000 fine. Officers were called to Trowbridge Road, Hackney at 03:00hrs on Sunday 7 February after reports of anti-social behaviour from people in the vicinity of a series of shipping containers. Members of the public reported hearing loud music and seeing more than 30 people gathered near Trowbridge Gardens. On arrival, police found the dangerous event underway and a crowd of people around two stacked shipping containers, a barefaced breach of Covid regulations.

Source: United Kingdom London Metropolitan Police Five people have been charged with a number of offences following breaches of the Coronavirus regulations. The dates of the breaches range from 29 August 2020 to 31 December 2020 at numerous locations within London. They are all due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 20 May 2021. Piers Corbyn, aged 73 (10/03/1947) of East Street, SE17 was charged with the following offences: On 29 August 2020 in Trafalgar Square he held/was involved in holding a gathering of more than 30 people on land in public outdoor place during emergency period contrary to regulations 5B(1), (2)(b)(iii) and 8(1) and (4) of the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (No.2) (England) Regulations 2020.
