Retrospective plans to keep Bangor parking cameras and signs

ANPR cameras and signage have been installed outside The Range in Bangor A parking enforcement company has applied for permission to retain cameras and signs it installed at a busy retail park several months ago. It emerged in March that UK Parking Company (UKPC) had not applied for planning permission before erecting the Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras and warning signs outside The Range store on Caernarfon Road in Bangor. The signs, warning motorists that if they exceed the maximum stay of three hours they will face a charge of £100, was brought to the attention of Gwynedd Council after the sudden appearance of the signs and the lack of a Welsh translation.

Worcester pensioner in five year battle with UK Parking Control Ltd

A WORCESTER pensioner says he is exhausted after a five year battle over a ridiculous car parking fine he refuses to pay. Alan Beddoes, 65, received the parking fine from UK Parking Control Ltd in 2016, and says he has been harassed by them ever since. Mr Beddoes said: It s getting beyond a joke now. They have threatened to send the bailiffs because I haven t paid. I haven t paid because I never should have had the fine in the first place. It is ridiculous. I have been battling them for five years, I am recovering from a stroke and I really don t need this added stress. They want £160 off me. I m a pensioner I can t pay that! People need to see these crooks for what they really are.
