Chitkara University climbs up the rankings order in the prestigious Times Higher Education (THE) IMPACT Rankings

The worldwide ranking of THE IMPACT rankings placed Chitkara University in the coveted rank slab of 401-600 in the list that witnessed 1,115 institutions from 94 countries. Additionally, Chitkara University has also been ranked among the Top 100 globally in the Affordable and Clean Energy category of the SDG. The university also excelled in the Partnership for the Goals category of SDGs by attaining an impressive 301+ ranking among the 1154 participating institutions. To comply this requirement, a lot of research is going on at various university and industry levels. The main source of CO2 production from shipping is the result of fossil fuel combustion which contains the hydrocarbon chain. So, we must look for carbon-free fuel or alternative power for ship propulsion.  The following alternatives can be considered: Nuclear power: This can be used to produce steam in the nuclear boiler which will operate a turbine to run the ship’s propulsion and power. But it has the possibility of tremendous environmental impact in case this nuclear reactor fails.

Brewin Dolphin reacts to demand with sustainable MPS By Tom Higgins 22 nd April 2021 4:05 pm Investment management firm Brewin Dolphin has today announced the launch of Sustainable Managed Portfolio Service (Sustainable MPS) for IFAs. The announcement, which coincides with Earth Day, is in response to the “evolving needs” of clients. Its chief executive Robin Beer said: “Sustainable MPS meets the needs of IFAs’ clients that want more – by excluding harmful sectors and by investing in sustainable funds and companies which contribute positively to society and the environment.” The Sustainable MPS will launch with five model portfolios that are designed by the firm to maximise returns from income and capital growth from a portfolio of funds.
