PM Imran condemns India’s ‘rogue behaviour’
Warns that New Delhi might resort to a false flag operation to divert attention away from its crises
ISLAMABAD:
Prime Minister Imran Khan has condemned Indian troops’ attack on a vehicle of the United Nations Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP) at the Line of Control (LoC) and said that India has no regard for international norms, laws and the United Nations.
“In complete violation of international law, India s deliberate firing at the LoC on the UNMOGIP vehicle, despite clear UN markings and flying blue UN flag, shows India s total disregard for all international norms of acceptable state behaviour and respect for international law and the UN,” PM Imran said on Sunday in a series of posts on micro-blogging site Twitter.

Pakistan has taken up the reprehensible attack by India on the United Nations Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP) Observers and their vehicle along the Line of Control (LoC) with the United Nations, urging it to initiate a transparent investigation into the incident.
In a letter addressed to the UN Secretary General (UNSG) and the President of the Security Council, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN, stated that deliberate targeting of the UN Observers and their vehicle – which was clearly marked with UN logo and flying a blue flag of the UN – appears to be a new coercive and reckless ploy by India to hinder UNMOGIP’s work, and facilitate another Indian military misadventure against Pakistan.

MUZAFFARABAD: In yet another brazen act of ceasefire violation, Indian army on Friday morning “deliberately” fired upon a United Nations (UN) vehicle carrying two military observers on a routine monitoring mission along the restive Line of Control (LoC) in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), officials said.
Fortunately, they added, no member of the observers group was hurt but the white vehicle hoisting the blue UN flag was damaged in the ‘targeted’ attack.
The “reprehensible act” prompted strong condemnation by Pakistan, with Foreign Office spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri describing it as an indication of a “new low” in the conduct of Indian occupation troops.
