State Sen. Sandra Williams announces campaign for Cleveland mayor State Senator Sandra Williams State Sen. Sandra Williams, a Democrat representing the 21st district, formally announced a campaign to become Cleveland s next mayor, according to a statement released Monday, May 3. Williams, a Cleveland native, is serving her second term in the Ohio Senate. If elected, she would be the first Black woman to serve as Cleveland s mayor. Williams represents parts of Cuyahoga County, including portions of Cleveland, Maple Heights and Cleveland Heights. She serves as ranking member on the following Senate committees: Energy and Public Utilities; Workforce and Higher Education; and Ways and Means.

2 FORT BLISS, Texas - St. Louis, Missouri native Wesley Langston was promoted to the rank of sergeant in the United States Army Reserve during a ceremony at Fort Bliss, Texas, March 31, 2021. Sgt. Wesley Langston currently serves as a billeting noncommissioned officer with the 647th Regional Support Group (Forward), Fort Bliss Mobilization Brigade in the facilities section. The 647th RSG (Forward) assumed authority of the Fort Bliss Mobilization Brigade in January 2021 and is responsible for managing, planning, and coordinating support services related to mobilization and demobilization. It serves as the pre-mobilization liaison for U.S. Army Reserve and National Guard Soldiers by providing administrative and logistical support prior to, during, and after mobilization.
