However, we all must remain responsible while boating to ensure the operator, passengers and those around us enjoy a safe experience,” Massachusetts Environmental Police Col. Shaun Santos said in a statement. “Importantly, the Massachusetts Environmental Police and other public safety entities will be strongly enforcing the commonwealth’s BUI law in an effort to reduce tragic incidents from occurring.”

Volunteers host potluck dinner for Coast Guard personnel stationed in Cheboygan

Cheboygan Daily Tribune CHEBOYGAN Members of the Bring It Cheboygan! group and several other volunteers recently put together a potluck dinner for the members of the United States Coast Guard stationed in the City of Cheboygan. The first of these soon to be monthly events was Wednesday, June 30, at the Hive North Mead and Cider Hall in downtown Cheboygan. All personnel who are serving on the United States Coast Guard Cutter Mackinaw ship, which is docked in Cheboygan, were invited to attend. I was a little nervous when we had 40 Coasties RSVP, said Connie Rieger of the Bring It Cheboygan! group. But I m happy they all showed up. It s good to see everybody so happy.
