MACON, Georgia On Friday, a portion of a Macon highway was dedicated in memory of a Vietnam War veteran
City officials, friends, and family gathered to unveil a sign marker honoring the late Lance Corporal Cary Becham.
The portion of road starts on a Sardis Church Road extension and goes to Houston Road.
Becham served in the United States Marine Corps, where he earned a Silver Star and other accolades during his career. Macon-Bibb County Mayor Lester Miller says he is happy the city did this for Becham s family.

During that period, he has been a pilot, test pilot, and instructor for several civilian and military organizations including First Officer and Flight Engineer for American Airlines, U.S.Marine Corps AV-8B Test Pilot, USAF F-35 Chief Test Pilot, as well as instructing in multiple additional aircraft while assigned to the USAF Test Pilot School.
