Man who died in St Johns County wreck was doctor, military veteran

An Evansville cyclist killed in an accident in St. Augustine, Florida, on Sunday, has been identified as Troy Manz, a 46-year-old military veteran and doctor in residency. He was among three cyclists who were hit by a car riding while riding on U.S. 1 in the dark hours of Sunday morning as part of the Sea to Sea Expedition Race, an intense three-day adventure-racing event from one coast of Florida to the other.  The Florida Highway Patrol said Manz died at the scene. The other cyclists were his fiancée, Trish Wilkinson, and Barbara Gilmore. Both of the women were taken to University of Florida Health Hospital with serious injuries.
