The federal law enforcement agency confirmed the death of Officer Howard Liebengood, 51, who worked with the US Senate. He was assigned to the Senate Division, and has been with the Department since April 2005, the agency wrote. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends, and colleagues.

He returned to his division office and collapsed. He was taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The death of Officer Sicknick will be investigated by the Metropolitan Police Departmentâs Homicide Branch, the USCP, and our federal partners.
