Judy Guenseth: Report suspected child abuse, neglect

Judy Guenseth: Report suspected child abuse, neglect Galesburg Register-Mail This month is child abuse awareness and prevention month. For the past 14 Aprils I have written an article shedding light on this difficult subject. These articles covered local perspectives and national scopes on a variety of subjects, some included Internet based abuse, child porn, physical harm and the Sandusky Penn State scandal. Each of these articles has been born of direct knowledge of similar situations in several professional roles I have held. My current work situation is not focused on child maltreatment, but I continue to serve on a statewide commission reviewing all questionable child deaths in the state and providing feedback to the Department of Children and Family Services and other relevant organizations.
