Appleman Triathlon to take place July 25

The Appleman Triathlon is on.
On Sunday, July 25, from 8 a.m. to noon, after a one-year hiatus due to COVID-19, the Rotary Club of Littleton will be hosting the 18th annual Littleton Appleman Triathlon. The Appleman is a fundraiser that supports the Littleton Rotary Club s community and international charitable projects.
The Appleman Triathlon is a sprint event involving the completion of three sequential endurance races: a half-mile swim, 10-mile bike and 3-mile run. Competitors range from casual teams from families and businesses to dedicated individuals who compete in multiple events nationally and, in some cases, worldwide. While top finishers in each age and gender-specific class are recognized, the goal of most competitors is to improve their personal best times. Americas Triathlon Para Championships awarded to Wisconsin Tuesday, 27 April 2021
This year’s Americas Triathlon Para Championships, an event that will offer competitors the opportunity to qualify for Tokyo 2020, in conjunction with the Pleasant Prairie Triathlon in Wisconsin on June 27, it has been announced.
Athletes from North, South and Central America will have the chance to earn qualification points for their country for this summer’s Paralympic Games in Tokyo, while for Americans, the race will also serve as selection event number two for the United States Paralympic team.
The event was initially scheduled for March 15 in Sarasota-Bradenton in Florida, but Americas Triathlon decided to cancel the Championships due to the coronavirus crisis.
