PRAGUE, April 29. /TASS/. Slovakia has published a contract on Thursday on the purchase of Russia’s Sputnik V vaccine. The country received the first batch of the Russian COVID-19 vaccine on March 1. The document is published on the website of the Slovakian Health Ministry on the request of the republic’s President Zuzana Caputova.
The developers of the Russian vaccine informed Slovakia on April 24 that they do not mind the republic publishing the contract on the purchase of Sputnik V. Bratislava was also offered to publish the contract with the US company Pfizer.

Brazil s health regulator rejected the vaccine brand from Russia amid the surge of COVID cases and deaths in the country. Because of this decision, the developers of Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine criticized the country when they refused to import the said brand, Al Jazeera reported.
The country s refusal of the vaccine doses from Russia comes as Brazil Senate pushes through with a probe against their president regarding his handling of the issue. President Jair Bolsonaro was reported to have downplayed the pandemic s threat as he refused lockdowns, arguing that the economic impact would harm the country more than the virus.
