GEORGETOWN, De- The MAKO Swim Club returned to action this weekend, hosting their first USA swimming sanctioned meet in Georgetown on Saturday.
The club–started in 2016 by Matt and Lisa Morgan–is now home to over 130 star swimmers in both the national and recreational division. MAKO swimming’s head coach is Strohm Edwards, a graduate of Laurel High School (DE). Edwards has swam competitively across the nation, qualifying for YMCA Nationals as a youth.
MAKO boasts several nationally ranked swimmers including:

The U.S. Olympic swimming trials will be split into a pair of meets, the governing body announced Tuesday a striking change designed to provide more room for social distancing on the usually crowded pool deck,
The Wave I meet of lower-ranked swimmers will be held on June 4-7 in Omaha, Nebraska. The top finishers will advance to the main Wave II meet on June 13-20 the already scheduled dates for the trials to determine who represents the U.S at the Tokyo Games.

USA Swimming announced Tuesday that a Wave I meet of lower-ranked swimmers qualifying for the trials will be held on June 4-7. The top finishers will advance to the main Wave II meet on June 13-20 to determine who represents the U.S at the Tokyo Games. Both meets will take place in a temporary pool at the CHI Health Center arena in Omaha, Nebraska, the trials host for the fourth straight time.
