Formula 1 confident USA and Mexico GPs to go ahead

29 April, 2021 Formula 1 expects the Mexican and United States Grands Prix to go ahead this year despite the cancellation of Canada’s race due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The June 13 race in Montreal has been called off for the second year in a row due to quarantine requirements for visitors; Turkey has taken Canada’s place on the same date. “Following the specific news regarding Canada, Formula 1 wants to be very clear that there is no change to the races in Mexico and the United States Grand Prix later this season and expect them to go ahead,” Mexican Grand Prix organizers quoted F1 as saying in a statement on Thursday.
