Richland County Sheriff’s Office during a Monday news conference said that the
‘macabre’ discovery was made after a citizen tipped off Columbus police about Davis’ disappearance on Feb. 25.
Court documents reveal Davis telling a friend she was on her way to Mansfield to see her ex-boyfriend, John Henry Mack Jr and to reach out to authorities if she didn’t get back in touch with her afterward.
‘If you don’t hear from me, call the police,’ Davis said.
Missing woman suspected her imminent demise
It wasn’t immediately clear why Davis thought she might be in danger and what led to her still going to the meet.
37-year-old Allentown sex assault, kidnapping suspect arrested in Florida

A 37-year-old Allentown man accused of sexually assaulting and kidnapping a woman he knew has been found and arrested in Florida, authorities announced Monday.
Jaime Fernandez-Maldonado is charged with kidnapping, aggravated indecent assault, theft, simple assault, and making terroristic threats. Lehigh County District Attorney Jim Martin and Allentown Police Chief Glenn Granitz Jr. announced Monday Fernandez-Maldonado was taken into custody in Florida.
Allentown officers March 7 were called to a location at Seventh and Tilghman streets for a reported woman being held against her will by a man later identified as Fernandez-Maldonado. The victim reported when she returned home from work, she found Fernandez-Maldonado inside her apartment.
Collinsville man wanted on child porn, abuse charges located in Illinois

Charles Joseph Zoph, 60, of Collinsville was arrested Monday in Illinois by the Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task of the United States Marshals Service.
A statement from the Grayson County District Attorney s Office said Zoph was indicted by a Grayson County Grand Jury earlier this month for 11 counts of possession of child pornography and five counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child.
Grayson County Criminal Investigator Don Tran, who serves as a Task Force Officer with the U.S. Marshals Service, quickly located Zoph following his indictment. Zoph will be transported to the Grayson County Jail shortly thereafter, the release said.

Montgomery, Alabama – On Friday, February 23, 2021, Tawasaki Leonorda Williams, a 35-year-old from Montgomery, Alabama, was sentenced to 75 months in prison for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, announced Acting U.S. Attorney Sandra J. Stewart. In addition to his prison sentence, Williams was ordered to serve three years of supervised release. There is no parole in the federal system. The sentence comes after Williams pleaded guilty to the charges in November of 2020.
