LUBBOCK, Texas (NEWS RELEASE) - Following approval by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), the City of Lubbock Public Health Department will begin offering the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccination to children ages 12 and older.

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, May 11) The dry season does not only bring hot and humid weather but also a host of health problems.
The common illnesses or conditions to watch out for during the dry season include sunburn, sore eyes, diarrhea, skin diseases, cough and colds, and dog bite infection, infectious disease specialist Dr. Eric Tayag told Newsroom Ngayon on Tuesday.
Tayag said sunburn could lead to heatstroke, a life-threatening heat illness. On Wednesday, May 5, 2021, Judge Dabney Friedrich of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia ruled that the residential eviction moratorium was unlawful as it was beyond the authority of the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to impose such a moratorium. The ruling was immediately appealed by the Department of Justice, and Judge Friedrich stayed the ruling pending the appeal.
Judge Friedrich’s ruling results in an increasingly conflicted body of case law with two prior district courts upholding the moratorium, but certain state courts ruling otherwise. For now, however, the moratorium will stay in place.
