KANSAS CITY, Mo. â The Kansas City Monarchs will open their season with the stadium at full capacity.
Opening Day is scheduled for May 18 at Legends Field.
There will be certain locations at the stadium with distanced seating for fans who prefer more space. Indoor seating will require masks to be worn.

Apr. 30 The Unified Government of Wyandotte County/Kansas City, Kansas, passed a new COVID-19 health order that removes requirements for wearing masks outdoors but still has the public wearing masks indoors in most cases.
Employees and visitors of indoor places of public accommodation age 5 or older have to continue wearing masks. In bars or restaurants, masks can come off when visitors are eating or drinking.
Masks are not required when everyone in an indoor place is vaccinated.
There s no social distancing requirement outdoors.

KANSAS CITY, Kan. â Wyandotte County health officials are working to address vaccine hesitancy.
Just 17.3% of county residents are fully vaccinated and 26.6% of residents have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
The current Kansas statewide rate is 37.8 % for people who have received at least one vaccine dose.
Wyandotte County churches are stepping in to help address hesitancy in the community.
Reverend Tony Carter Jr. at Salem Baptist Church is happy to use his influence on community members to educate them about the COVID-19 vaccine.
