From K-pop dynamo BTS to boy band brand NCT s subunit NCT Dream, some of the scene s biggest acts as well as rookie groups are getting ready to come back with new music this month.
At the forefront is BTS. The seven-piece group, which released Japanese single Film Out in April, is set to drop new song Butter on May 21.
The English single, which the group s agency Big Hit Music described as a fun and upbeat summer song, will first be released globally in a digital version at 1 p.m. on May 21 and the physical version will be available later on.

Lee Taemin has spent nearly half his life in the limelight. It has been six and a half years since the Korean idol released his first solo album, and twice that time since he made his debut as the bowl-cut-sporting, fourteen-year-old Main Dancer of K-pop group SHINee. Now, he is drawing the curtain on this chapter of his career.
Mid-April, Taemin took to streaming service VLIVE to announce his enlistment in South Korea’s compulsory military service would be happening at the end of May. “It’s hard for me to talk about this,” he said in the tearful live stream with his kitten, Kkoong. For Taemin, it’s more than just an eighteen-month hiatus from the cycle of recording, promoting, and performing: “It’s like looking back on the first act of my life.”

SHINee Taemin is set to make a solo comeback with a new album, Advice, before his military enlistment at the end of May.
On April 19, the Don t Calle Me singer made a surprise announcement that he will begin his mandatory military service on May 31. Taemin is the last SHINee member to enlist. Prior to his military enlistment, he has prepared new music for the fans.

On May 2, SHINee member Taemin conducted his solo online concert titled Beyond Live: N.G.D.A (Never Gonna Dance Again), where he sang his solo hits. He even premiered his new title track Advice from his unreleased third mini-album of the same name.
