We re just eight days away from the start of the games and the stadiums will be empty, no fans allowed. The plan to have up to 10,000 spectators was scrapped last week.

TOKYO - IOC Vice President John Coates arrived here on Tuesday morning with 38 days to go until the opening of the Tokyo Olympic Games.
Japanese newspaper Sports Daily said that Coates, also head of IOC s Coordination Commission for Tokyo 2020, will stay in Japan to keep a close watch on the final preparation of the postponed games.
Coates said last month that the games will absolutely take place even if Tokyo is still in a state of emergency .

The Global Esports Federation concluded an unprecedented year with a series of historic activities, milestones and achievements. Following the GEF Board meeting held on the occasion of its first anniversary, the GEF hosted its first General Assembly, convening the world’s esports community, Member Federations and partners with a message of gratitude and optimism for the year ahead.
The GEF General Assembly, held via video conference, was updated by the GEF President, Chief Operating Officer and senior members of the GEF administration on the progress and priorities following its first year of activity. The General Assembly provided members the opportunity to interact and ask questions as the community came together to celebrate and set the stage for the new year.
