MUMBAI: The Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) of India has released its data for top advertisers and brands for the period between 5 December and 11 December 2020.
The data reflects the top 10 advertisers and brands across genres on India’s television, 2+ Individuals, NCCS. All demonstrating ads that were inserted the most in week 49 of 2020.
Top Advertisers:
It was followed by Reckitt Benckiser India, which ranked second with 164806 ad insertions.
ITC bagged the third rank this time with 46546 AMA. Cadbury came in fourth with 43116 ad insertions.
Ponds India and P&G secured fifth and sixth place with 34545 and 32013 ad insertions.

A day after arresting former COO Romil Ramgarhia of the Broadcast Audience Research Council s (BARC) for his alleged involvement in the TRP rigging case, the crime branch has found crucial leads in his WhatsApp chats. His chats with Republic TV director and CEO Vikas Khanchandani who was previously arrested in the case, allegedly point to how he benefited and received holiday packages for TRP manipulations, the agency said.

Mumbai, Dec 17 (IANS): Widening the scope of the probe into the TRP scam, the Mumbai Police on Thursday arrested Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) former COO Romil Ramgarhia, according to officials.
This is the 14th arrest in the TRP scam probe but first linked to the BARC and comes barely five days after Republic TV CEO Vikas Khanchandani was arrested December 13, sent to custody till December 15, and granted bail on December 16.
The Crime Branch hopes to unravel more details of the sensational TRP rigging case - unearthed last October - with the alleged involvement of several television channels including Republic TV, Fakt Marathi, Box Cinema and others, said the officials.
